I have been writing silly stories since I was a bumbling teenager with shaggy unwashed hair, and one of those horrible micro-moustaches on my upper lip. Some of these have been read to audiences of over 50 people, just like it says on my CV! They were received pretty well by those people, which was very flattering and did wonders for my confidence. Some of them are light-hearted and ridiculous, and some are a bit darker.

I’m not sure how best to introduce these. I guess they’re like long blog posts but with a bit more structure to them. I don’t know. Some are serious, some are not.

Poems »

I am a poet, did you know that? Maybe “poet” is a strong word, but these definately aren’t prose. Actually, I’m pretty pleased with most of these. They’re not supposed to be taken seriously. If I do happen to write a serious poem, I’ll add the clause “unless otherwise stated” to that last sentence.

Photos »

I take my camera absolutely everywhere, and it has served me well. It’s taken a lot of knocks, but I would never be without it. Though I don’t flatter myself that I’m an artist, trying to get a good photo is something I really enjoy.

I’ve been working with WordPress now for a year or so, and I’ve written a plugin and made some mods to the source code. If you’re a user of WordPress you might find a couple of these useful!
