I have written a WordPress plugin!

It’s called Character Tools, and it’s a useful little utility that gives you the right numerical entity for foreign characters (e.g. á for ‘á’).

There’s a new story!

It’s called Snots and it’s about a man called Snots. Who would’ve thunk it?

Just a brief post whose purpose is simply to include links to two articles I wrote about hacking Simple Photo Gallery and WordPress in the “PHP/JavaScript” category.

1. Removing the URL prefix from Simple PHP Gallery
2. Inserting the date and time edits are made into posts on WordPress

That’s it! If you want more, I suppose I can tell you about an article I read, linked to on the XHTML validation page. It’s about writing dates in a format that everyone will understand and it’s well meaning but the conclusion is completely wrong: The International Date Format.

I was recently browsing a site about French (french.about.com), when I came across a page promising to teach me all about French gestures (french.about.com/etc…). Intrigued, I followed the link, and I learnt many new phrases and a few gestures.

I also learnt that the lady who runs the site has a really long index finger, which amused me. Also, you might like to take a peak at this image: apparently very vulgar, but to my eyes hilarious.

Finally, and this is the best out of the three, the familiar hand-in-elbow-shake-fist gesture which is also apparently very vulgar. For some reason I find these two pictures wet-yourself funny. It’s like some sort of bad porn or something.

In unrelated and slightly less immature news: I have finally updated the photos section! A lovely new design and function is to be enjoyed by all. Take a peak, you can also leave comments: beingmrkenny.co.uk/photos.

Well, the photos from my trip to South America are finally all uploaded and categorised, and some even have captions! It’s taken me absolutely ages to get everything working, so you’d better go and at least have a little look!
