Guys, you need to find a better metric

Apple sells Macs based on their superior security. This is probably a fair point — Macs are generally more secure from the moment you switch them on. Apple details its security features on this page, saying, “To get a sense of just how big the virus problem is, search for “virus” at both Apple and [...]

Rules for road users when Mark is waiting for a delivery

No-one is to use any motor vehicle at all unless they are delivering something to me. This is partly because if there are no cars on the road, the van can get to me quicker, but also because the noise of engines gets me all hopeful and when it’s not the TNT van, I get [...]

I snapped this a while ago when the weather was still warm. I take photos like this quite a bit. I’ll be walking along when a view catches my eye, and I get funny looks as I point my camera at the most mundane things. But I care not, I would regret it if I [...]

What you always needed to see: pictures of things that have been blown into trees

I frequently see things that have been blown into the branches of trees. Usually plastic bags. I’ve always noticed them but never really thought much about them. Until now, that is.
I can’t actually believe I didn’t notice how that last couple of sentences was in complete contradiction to the next paragraph. Foolishness!
Craig Robinson, of Flip [...]

Let’s count all the markup versions…

First we had HTML. Then XML came along and we got XHTML. Then no-one really adopted it. Then XHTML2 started to be written. Then everyone complained because the W3C stopped doing anything useful. Then a break away group formed, and HTML5 was announced. Then the W3C decided to make their own version of HTML5.

HTML
XHTML
XHTML2
HTML5
HTML5, the [...]
