I hate Ross
I have never been able to stand Ross, from Friends. This makes me a bad person.
It’s not just the fact that the character just straight off annoys me. If only it were that simple!
But no, the truth is that, well, I hate his stupid face. And, of course, his stupid face belongs to a real person. It is this, specifically, that makes me a bad person.
It’s like that chicken/egg question: which came first, my hatred of Ross, or my hatred of his stupid face? Perhaps the reason I hate it is because I associate it with the character, but it’s a real shame because I cannot take him seriously in anything else he’s been in.
I can’t get the image of him saying something incredibly stupid and annoying in Central Perk out of my head. Seriously, when he was in Band of Brothers I kept expecting him to make some self-deprecating reference to the number of divorces he’d been involved in.
