A Christmas Penis
I took this photo around this time last year. It’s in the Sainsbury’s car park, and its charm is in the way it’s been drawn.

Does this make me immature?

I like this album because she sings pi to 138 decimal places. Anyone who can sing “six six four seven zero nine three eight four four six zero nine five five zero five eight two two three” so nicely and emotively has to be a genius, in my opinion. It’s almost as good as Björk’s 107 Steps.
I guess that’s it for this review. I never was much good at writing them, and I hate the way reviews sound anyway, so pretentious and stuffy. Although I will say that it’s not like her previous album, although no surprises there, because that was released about 12 years ago.
Well, I’m used to people hotlinking to images on my site (they don’t get far, hehe) but I’ve not actually had someone steal an image and use it again on their site.
Check this out. It’s some website about yorkshire, and they’ve nicked my image. Granted they’ve given credit (in the alt text), but I heard exactly nothing about it…
The offending webpage can be found here — it’s in the green box towards the bottom.
I am wondering what to do about it…
Update: I don’t believe it! There’s more! All over this page!
Update 2: Just taken some screenshots so that I have some proof should they decide to delete the page…
PS: I just noticed that “thieves” was spelt wrong in the title and changed it — the URL for this post remains the same, which is why it’s still spelt wrong, just in case you were wondering…
Heard of this a couple of times, never bothered to check what it did though, until today. It’s the best thing ever! Firefox is so much better with it, and I love it.
First, go and install the plugin, then install some good scripts.
If you’re a Gmail user, this one is invaluable. And this one puts the contents of the alt="" attribute into a tooltip, so you can see the “alt” text of an image just like you used to be able to in IE!
I found this emoticon a while ago:

I thought it was extremely funny. It kinda encapsulates the stupid crap people post on forums.
Just stumbled across this website. It’s about a documentary which questions the origins of Christianity. I watched a clip which talked about how the gospels were written. I noticed one factual error, which was that the narrator stated that Mark was the earliest Gospel and that the other three were clearly derived from it. This is not true: the first three are clearly related in some way, either because two of them were copied from another, or that all three drew on an unknown source (called “Q”) now lost. The fourth Gospel, John, is completely separate and was written independently. This is the first thing anyone learns when they begin to study the New Testament.
Now, I’ve not been in Church for about four months, and I don’t really know if I could call myself a Christian any more (at the least I’m questioning it), but it irritated me that a basic thing like this was left uncorrected.
It seemed that the documentary was designed to shock, which is always a shame because it doesn’t lend it very much credibility, especially when basic errors like that above have been made.

Isn’t it sad the way Christmas doesn’t feel magical any more? I mean, I remember being ecstatically excited in the run up to Christmas, but I also remember, very keenly, the way that each successive Christmas became less and less exciting a few years ago. Is this just a part of growing up? And is it linked to the way presents get a little worse every year? (Or am I just becoming more of a fussy consumer?)
