Today was a very good day! I went into my temping agency to hand in my work record, and they told me that the promotion agency I had been working for (selling newspapers in the supermarket) had put me in the top 4 of all sellers during the promotion, and that I was in the running to get the £50 bonus. Later on, when I was at home, I got a call to say that I got it! Now isn’t that nice :D
My Grandma is also staying with us this week and we were talking about the cat just now. My cat has long been a fan of relieving herself in interesting places around the home. I remember very well the day I found one of her turds in the corner of my room, carefully covered over with one of my socks. Or when my mum found one under the ironing board. Or the time when I walked into the bathroom to find that she had released a veritable lake or extremely runny diarrhoea into the bath (actually, it was one of my sister’s friends that found it—she screamed when she did!)
Anyway, my Grandma just told me that when she recently had a tree removed from her back garden, the neighbours’ cats used the freshly disturbed soil as a toilet (“the little perishers”). She also confessed that she “shovelled them up and put them over someone’s fence”.
And here comes an <h4> tag!
You know when you’ve been spending too much time on your website when…
…you start applying HTTP error codes to real life. I.e. “I think this file has gone 404” (not found); “I think it’s a 410 on that one” (gone); “We’ve done a bit of a 301 on the furniture in this room” (permanent redirect).
I’ve also been on my Dad’s computer for most of the week, making various updates. Usually I hate it, because it’s slow and I hate those awful mousepad-things, but the other day I caught myself thinking that I had “made a special bond” with it. Which is a bit worrying.
