Two days left in my house!
I have but two days left in the house where I’ve been living for the past three years, it’s very exciting. Over the last couple of days we’ve had the landlord’s friend and his daughter over cleaning the house and redecorating it. This morning I found her doing all our washing up and cleaning our oven. :S I was so ashamed! I cleaned the bathroom to alleviate my guilt, and I can tell you now that it was no easy task… Hadn’t been cleaned in probably two years, so it badly needed doing. The sink was cleaned before Easter, though. Well, I say cleaned… I noticed that most of the soap residue and toothpaste had been wiped away using toilet paper. That’s hilarious! :D
The other thing is, the South America blog link is now on the homepage. I’ve decided to scrap “odyssey” or however on Earth you spell that. Travel blogs will now be found at beingmrkenny.co.uk/travel/, which makes things a lot easier for people typing in addresses! The South America blog is now at beingmrkenny.co.uk/travel/southamerica.

On http://www.gortonnews.org.uk/archive/newslettermar05.PDF you can see a picture of a policeman. A completely blurry picture which could be any old policeman at all. In fact it is Inspector Mark Kenny, Greater Manchester Police’s Area Inspector for Gorton and Levenshulme. A rather more close-up picture of Inspector Kenny has been smiling at me every morning for the last two weeks as I arrive on platform 1 at Levenshulme train station for my 12-minute commute to work. So I thought you should know!
A quick bit of googling suggests he’s been involved in community relations with Manchester’s gay and lesbians, for what it’s worth.
And I bet he cleans his bathroom more often than you do - that’s just disgusting!! :D
