Well, guess who’s still alive? Me. Obviously.
Just come back from a trip to Grandma, who lives in Colchester. It was funny being there because it wasn’t how I’d remembered it. I don’t know when I was last there, but it must have been some years. At one point I knelt down to see if it made a difference, and it did; suddenly everything fitted again. So it must have been some time ago!
Anyway, made some progress with my Spanish. I can now conjugate regular verbs for each of the three persons (“Thank heavens for that,” I hear you cry). I also finished two books while I was there. Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code which was absolutely mind-blowing, and Terry Pratchet’s Mort, which is hilarious and wonderful, as expected.
I set myself the task of finishing the latter before the car stopped outside our house, and, achieving it all too soon, found I had a rather boring journey left, what with my sister reading too. Played with the dog a little (which was an excellent idea - bringing her along for the trip) but that game got tired after a while. Dogs only respond for a certain period. Then they get bored. Tried annoying my sister, which worked, but that got boring and a bit worrying when I realised how old I was. In the end I settled for sweets, crisps and staring out of the window.
Anyway, I’ve just fixed WordPress up on open-space.org.uk. I am overjoyed with it. So overjoyed, in fact, that I’m going to make the switch and do the very same thing with this blog, as soon as my beigetower hosting comes through.
Ooh, btw, has anyone seen that awful Casanova of late? Isn’t it completely dreadful? For a moment I thought the BBC had been taking ITV lessons. I was nearly sick, it was that bad.
That said, did anyone see the final episode? What happened…?
