Well, just finished my four-lectures-in-a-row day of misery and pain. Rolled out of bed at 8:45, arrived on time for my 9:00 am lecture. Now that’s what I call being efficient in the morning. Takes me ten minutes to get to Uni normally; I made it in 5. My personal theory is that time slows down when I’m late, or something. Maybe I just walk quicker.
I never run, though. Those people who run to get to lectures are all clinically insane.
Anyway, four 50-minute lectures in a row ain’t good, but I managed to sit through them all without fainting, being sick or having a breakdown. And I even managed to understand most of them! But now it’s all over, and I’m glad. I just hope that tonight I’ll be tired enough to go to sleep, unlike last night where it took a good four hours.
Actually, something I’ve noticed during my years as a student is that your ability to withstand long days diminishes. While at school I wouldn’t have worried about a 9-3 day full of lessons, now the thought of 9-12 fills me with abject horror, loathing, terror, panic attacks and general malaise. Well, no, it doesn’t actually, but that’s not the point. Where has my stamina gone?
